Policies & Procedures

1. Privacy Policy

 

1.1 By submitting the application form to Language Links the student agrees to the storage of their personal details in the administrative systems, whether on paper, computer or any other medium and to the usage of that information for Language Links education and administrative purposes.

 

1.2 Students’ photographic images, quotes and details of achievements may be used for promotional purposes (printed and online). Students agree that when they incidentally appear in photographs of which they are not the main focus (e.g. pictures of social activities), such photographs can be used by Language Links for promotional purposes without further written consent or notification. If students do not wish to have their details published for marketing purposes, then they are advised to give Language Links a formal notice in writing.

 

2. Payment of Fees

 

2.1 The tuition fee for your course will be as indicated in your invoice and/or letter of admissions.

 

2.2 Total fees must be paid no later than 2 weeks before the course start date (as stated in the letter of admissions). If and when any airport services, accommodation or tuition details are added after the initial invoice is issued, payment is required as soon as possible.

 

2.3 You are required to pay all outstanding fees and charges before starting your course. Failure to do so may result in withdrawal of the course and cancellation of enrollment.

 

2.4 Payment plans are available upon the discretion of Language Links. Inquire if necessary.

 

 

3. Refund Policy

 

3.1 All cancellations or postponements must be made in writing via email or mail to the corresponding staff member.

 

3.2 All withdrawals or cancellations must be supported with a Program Withdrawal Form, signed and dated by the student.

 

3.3 Registration fee and Accommodation placement fee are non-refundable.

 

3.4 Tuition refunds are paid within 30 days of tuition refund requests.

4. Minimum Age In Class

​

4.1 The minimum age for students at Language Links is 16 years. There is no maximum age limit.

4.2 The minimum age for students enrolled at Language Links is 6 years. There is no maximum age limit.

5. Changes to initial enrollment

 

5.1 All changes made to confirmed course bookings will lead to a $25 administration fee, unless you are extending your course or booking additional courses.

 

5.2 If you wish to defer your course start date, you need to inform Language Links at least two weeks before your start date. If you do not inform us in writing and you arrive at a date later than your scheduled start date, you will not get a refund for the days you have missed.

 

 

 

6. Courses, Program and Services

 

6.1 Language Links reserves the right to change published information including prices, lesson times and Terms and Conditions at any time without notice.

 

6.2 Language Links reserves the right to change or cancel an advertised course.

 

6.3 In the event of a course being cancelled by Language Links, the student will be offered an alternative course/dates or a full refund (minus non-refundable fees).

 

6.4 Language Links reserves the right to amend lesson times. For example, a morning class could be moved to the afternoon.

 

6.5 Language Links reserves the right to change details of its advertised services, courses, facilities and course dates where circumstances beyond the company’s control necessitate such changes or where the number of enrollments is below the level required to operate a course is viable.

 

6.6 In the unlikely event that Language Links is unable to deliver your course in full, you will be offered enrollment in a suitable alternative course at no extra cost.

 

 

 

7. Personal Information

 

7.1 It is the student’s responsibility to keep Language Links informed of all changes in particular of any changes of home address, especially while in Toronto, mobile phone number and email address, as well as changes to emergency contact names and telephone numbers.

 

7.2 From time to time and for specific purposes only, Language Links may be asked or obliged to share students’ personal data with representatives of its accrediting, licensing or overseeing bodies or other partner organizations solely and exclusively to provide and administer the courses, or to ensure compliance with its regulatory responsibilities.
