What is a debate?
Debate is the act of formal disagreement supported by facts and informed opinions. Debating therefore lies at the core of every day living and it is important to learn how to deliver our thoughts and opinions in a compreshenisve manner to others.
Our Debate Club uses activities that has sharpened the minds of international influential people such as Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King Jr. and Margaret Thatcher. Going beyond simply teaching students how to form arguments, Language Links encourages students to learn how to use rhetoric and evidence through debate, forming a well rounded skillset that allows students to succeed in their future.

Book Club
Reading interesting stories to spark and provoke thoughtful conversation in a small group.
Reading is one of the best ways to improve your English, but it can be a bit challenging without some guidance. Through these stories, we practice new vocabulary, work on pronunciation and engage in real-life conversation about interesting characters, topics, issues and our own lives. The story will help us learn English, but they also help us understand ourselves and each other.
During each lesson you’ll meet to discuss what’s been happening in the book, the characters, your favorite or least-liked parts and ask questions about parts that maybe you had trouble understanding. We will provide a worksheet in advance to help you prepare for our lesson and arrive ready to speak.

IELTS Test Preparation
If you need to achieve a target test score, Language Links’ Test Preparation courses have helped many international students achieve their target score. The lessons are designed to give maximum teacher-to-student interaction and to provide opportunities for the student to refine their English skills for each section of the test.
Language Links’ IELTS Preparation course includes content for both the General and Academic IELTS test. This course focuses on one module of the IETLS Test for a period of 4 weeks. This program has weekly intake, allowing students to enter the class at any time.
